I am excited to begin a new school year! The students are full of wonder and ready to learn. Below are some of the items you may have questions about. Theme: We will begin the year looking at our school and local communities. Students will examine their place within the community and recognize a sense of belonging to Mitchell. They will pursue information on governmental officals and know what jobs they do. Uniforms: Mitchell students wear white or navy collar shirts and navy slacks/skirt or jumper with casual shoes to school each day. Sweaters should be solid navy with no hood. Physical Education: On days they have physical education, children wear navy sweatpants or shorts and a white t-shirt with athletic shoes. New gym uniforms: If you are purchasing Mitchell items, please go directly to the main office. If you have any questions, you can email me blbenkiser@cps.edu.
